Bride looks out windows in Thornewood Castle suite

The Presidential Suite is our favorite of all the rooms for rent at Thornewood Castle, and these windows are one of the reasons why. It's where President Theodore Roosevelt stayed for two weeks, and President William Howard Taft stayed for three days. The bay windows, which have stained glass inserts dating to the 16th century, look west out onto American Lake. It's a beautiful view, but for this photo, we chose to convert the scene to black and white for a more classic, artistic look. If you really want a close look at one of those stained-glass inserts, you'll find one in a ring photo in the Details photo gallery.
